Extended Comments
Over an extended development period, the 92' Express, first developed as a very traditional vessel, was transfigured into a very modern and much larger yacht.
The owner intended to cruise in the Mediterranean, living aboard with his family. As we developed the design, the owners came to understand just how much they could and could not fit aboard the original design. Thus, we moved to a fresh piece of paper with a much more modern outlook.
Extensive cruising range lead to the incorporation of a triple engine and waterjet system, with two smaller engines outboard of a large central "booster" engine and jet. The aft deck was considerably expanded to accommodate large parties and a large custom tender.

“Roberts wanted to provide accommodations closer to what a yachtsman would get from a 92-footer of conventional proportions. A typical 92-foot motoryacht would have a beam of 20 to 22 feet.
The real size of a boat, though, shows in her displacement. The half-load displacement of Liberty is 75, 000 pounds. At 114, 000 pounds, the half-load of the Express 92 is 1 1/2 times greater. All this for what appears on the surface to be a 12-foot increase in length.”
