Overview of New Design

Materials and Construction Methods:
Wood, fiberglass, steel, and aluminum construction. Modern wood-epoxy construction of all sizes is a specialty, but work in metal currently is a large part of my practice.
New design with NC files for origami style construction is available.

Construction plans to ABS, Lloyd's, and ISO class.

Interior Arrangement:
Considerable experience in space planning and interior design for yachts to 154', sail and power,(Selected projects, gallery ) with special consideration for furniture and integration between levels and indoor-outdoor spaces.

Each design is offered with a range of illustrations, from concept sketches to 3D computer models to paintings.

Power:
Re-power and systems design.
Predicting performance with new power or propulsors.

Sail:
Re-rigging and deck design.
Spar and rig engineering, with deck layout for efficiency. Considerable experience with sailing yachts to 154' ( Selected projects, gallery ).

Stability:
Hydrostatics, Stability, Damaged stability.
Transport Canada and ISO stability booklets. Close working relationship and mutual respect with TC personnel.

I prepare drawings for rebuilds and refits, but a major part of the work is advising on how and where to proceed.
